I am still hard at work in moving all of the photos from the old site over to Flickr. Because I have made so much progress, you will now go to our new setup when you click on the Photos link on the top nav bar. At this point, I am still uploading 2005 photos but hope to be done very soon. When all is said and done, you will be able to search on the specific tags for each photo to pull up virtually anything we have taken a picture of.

I hope to have more pictures of little Lucy soon too so stay tuned!

Emily and me went to my Nonnie and PaPa’s house for our yearly Christmas/Thanksgiving celebration. Afterwards, we went to her Mom’s house and spent the night before getting up for some Black Friday shopping. Man, can any of you believe we are this close to Thanksgiving? As many of you may know, my mom and dad always drilled into me that bargain shopping is the best thing to do. I recall many Fridays after Thanksgiving (known as Black Friday) where my sister and me were drug out of bed and we were at K-Mart, in Denton, by 5 AM. Those days continued as the years went by and I took it to the next level by getting in line at Best Buy at 2 AM in recent years. Does anyone else go this crazy for Black Friday?

Anyway, I bring up Black Friday because this year is a very strange retail shopping season. The deals don’t seem to be at Black Friday. In fact, after seeing most of the leaked ads online, you can find better deals now and even after Black Friday. For example, after five years of waiting, Em and me purchased a new Digital SLR Canon XTi EOS camera and got it for much cheaper than what Circuit City is going to sell it for on Black Friday. That means maybe I will sleep in a bit more and just try to pick up some Christmas presents on BF 07.

Despite being very filled out, many of Lucy’s little outifts continue to be too big. However, it sure looks like my mom and sister are having fun with her. You can see all the photos below:

My mom forwarded me some pictures of what I assume is the first time little Lucy Shea Toller ever has been dressed up for a picture. This is sure to be the first of many headbands and cute little outfits the child will be forced to wear

Since I started posting photos on RutherfordFamily.NET, I have used a program called Gallery. While Gallery is still a great program, I have recently found the need to switch to something else. Due to my old web host losing all of my photos and having a great deal of difficulty locating backups of them, I am now a Pro Member of Yahoo’s Flickr photo service.

Flickr Pro is a $24.99 a year fee that provides users with unlimited storage and bandwidth for all of your photos. The best part of the move to Flickr is that they have opened up their service to users so they can write programs that utilize Flickr. So I am now able to integrate all of my photos, on Flickr, right here on RutherfordFamily.net. You will soon be able to click on the Photos link above and see all of our Flickr photos on the site. Until then, you can preview this by going here.

However, because I am going through my entire photo collection, uploading the original, high resolution photos, and trying to individually tag each one, expect this move to take me a few weeks to finish. But once I am done, you will be able to download the highest resolution photos–perfect for printing–and search for things that I have tagged.
