Man, can any of you believe we are this close to Thanksgiving? As many of you may know, my mom and dad always drilled into me that bargain shopping is the best thing to do. I recall many Fridays after Thanksgiving (known as Black Friday) where my sister and me were drug out of bed and we were at K-Mart, in Denton, by 5 AM. Those days continued as the years went by and I took it to the next level by getting in line at Best Buy at 2 AM in recent years. Does anyone else go this crazy for Black Friday?

Anyway, I bring up Black Friday because this year is a very strange retail shopping season. The deals don’t seem to be at Black Friday. In fact, after seeing most of the leaked ads online, you can find better deals now and even after Black Friday. For example, after five years of waiting, Em and me purchased a new Digital SLR Canon XTi EOS camera and got it for much cheaper than what Circuit City is going to sell it for on Black Friday. That means maybe I will sleep in a bit more and just try to pick up some Christmas presents on BF 07.
